Why Does the Observant Global Software Platform Ask Me to Accept a License Agreement?

The Observant Global™ software platform now asks you to review and accept our End User License Agreement. This note explains the process and changes related to how we tell you about changes to the agreement.

Observant Global Software Platform End User License Agreement

Your use of the Observant Global software platform has always been subject to our End User License Agreement that has always been published, in its most recent form, on our public website at http://observant.net/eula. We do, from time to time, update the End User License Agreement, and it is important that you are aware of any updates. To make it easier for you to be informed of updates and to ensure you have complete clarity about our End User License Agreement, we have now incorporated acknowledgment of the current version of the agreement into your sign-in. This does not change the End User License Agreement; it just makes plain and clear what was previously linked to a separate part of our website. You will be presented with the agreement each time a change is made to it.

Why did Observant make this change?

In previous versions of the Observant Global software platform, and when you sign up for a new Observant Global account today, you were/are referred to the terms of our End User License Agreement. To provide clarity around these terms, and to be sure you are made aware of any changes, we now bring these changes directly to your attention whenever there is a change. Importantly, your ownership of data and clarity around the permissions needed for sharing of data is an issue where we want you to have a complete understanding of how we manage your data.

What If I Don't Accept the Terms?

As outlined above, your use of the Observant Global software platform has always been subject to our End User License Agreement. The change to our software just brings that agreement directly to your attention and allows you to easily learn about any changes. As your use of our service has always been subject to the End User License Agreement, if you do not accept the terms, you will not be able to proceed.

How Will I Find Out About Changes to the End User License Agreement

A major advantage if this changes is that it tracks changes to the End User License Agreement and will present the changed agreement to you next time you log in.
