Conduit
Conduit should always be used for outdoor installations, cabling should never be directly exposed to the elements. We recommend that standard gray solid electrical conduit and fittings be used, orange heavy duty conduit is not UV stable so should not be used above ground. 25mm should be used to allow threading of EN3 connectors.
Where conduit opens to the environment it should be plugged with wadding or putty.
Flexible conduit is not recommended unless it is specifically rated for exterior use (ie. has UV protection).
