Assembly
Remove the full Solo Tank Kit from the top of the tank
Unscrew the 4 Tek screws to unfasten the entire Solo tank kit from the top of the tank and bring it down.
Remove Solo module from tank mount post
Loosen the grub screw with 5mm Hex key (Allen Key) until the Solo module can fully detach from the top of the Solo tank post.
Unscrew the Binder connector from the Solo sensor port and remove the Solo module from the Solo tank post assembly.
Connect adaptor cable
Connect the Solo to Solo+ sensor adaptor cable to the level sensor cable with Binder connectors.
Attach mounting brackets to module
Attach the top mounting bracket to the back of the Solo+ module securely with the supplied screws. The bent side of the bracket should face the front of the Solo+ Module.
Attach Solo+ adaptor mount to module
Remove the flat nut from the M32 cable gland. You will only need the flat nut. The cable gland will not be used.
Insert the Solo to Solo+ adaptor mount through the mounting hole at the bottom of the Solo+ module. Insert the M32 flat nut from the inside of the Solo+ enclosure and tighten it firmly to the adaptor mount until the adaptor does not move.
Mount Solo+ adaptor assembly to tank post
Pull the adaptor cable through the mount into the Solo+ enclosure.
Insert the top of the Solo tank mount post into the Solo+ adaptor.
Tighten the grub screw with 4mm Hex key until the Solo+ module is secured to the post but can still be rotated around.
Assemble solar panel kit
Assemble the solar panel brackets
Place the washers in the correct order on the bolts.
Insert the bolts through Part A.
Assemble the brackets together loosely, carefully noting the orientation of Part B.
Thread hose clamp through solar mounting bracket
Take one of the supplied 46-70mm hose clamps and unscrew the band. Thread the band through the solar mounting bracket assembly. Clamp it but do not tighten now.
Attach panel mounting bracket assembly to solar panel
On the side of the solar panel marked “THIS SIDE UP”, place the bracket assembly so that Part B is on the underside of the frame and Part A on the topside of the frame. Slide the bird guard between Part A and the top of the solar panel and tighten the bolts.
Mount Solar Panel on Solo+
Attach the Solar panel assembly to the top bracket of the Solo+ enclosure by tightening the hose clamp until it is secure.
The assembly should look like this now.
Route solar panel cable through the conduit gland
The entry into the Solo+ is through the bottom of the enclosure.
Channel the Solar panel cable underneath the panel frame as shown to prevent it from hanging loosely.
Push the solar panel cable through the black conduit gland on the bottom side of the Solo+ enclosure.
Connect the red wire of the solar panel to 1 and black to ground on the POWER IN port plug. If the connection is correct, the green LED next to the “POWER IN” connector will glow.
Remove the Weidmuller connector from the "SERIAL & 4-20mA" port and plug in the sensor adaptor cable.
Mount Antenna on Module
Securely attach the 4G-LTE antenna to the connector located at the top of the Solo+ enclosure. Ensure a firm connection by tightening the nut on the antenna connector cable.
Peel off the red protective film from the permanent adhesive strip on the antenna base. Press down firmly for 2-3 minutes to securely affix it to the top of the Solo+ enclosure.
The Fully assembled Solo+ on a Solo tank mount should now look like this.
Mount the Assembly to the Tank Roof
Mount the completed Solo+ Tank mount assembly back on the tank. Rotate the solar panel to face the true north (in the southern hemisphere) or the true south (in the northern hemisphere). Make sure the level sensor is pointing straight down. Secure the position by tightening the grub screw on the Solo to Solo+ mount adapter.
