Welcome to your C3+ installation guide.
The C3+ telemetry module can remotely monitor and control a large range of agricultural and irrigation equipment via the software platforms Observant Global and Jain Logic.
The C3+ has been designed for deployment in rugged environments. It can be installed on its own in situations where power and environmental protection are already offered, such as in a pump shed. Otherwise, it can be paired with the Solar Enclosures resulting in a fully self contained solution.
A wide range of sensors and devices can be connected to the C3+ giving it the ability to monitor water levels, weather, soil conditions, etc. as well as control a variety of pumps and valves.

The full C3 User Guide can be found here. For a quick set-up follow the steps below:
- Check if you have all the parts: Your full solution will consist of the C3+, the Solar Enclosure (optional), and one or more devices that will be connected to the C3+ via its ports.
- Record the serial number of your C3+ units. This can be located at the lower edge of the unit.

Register the product:
- If you have purchased a tank kit or camera kit and do not have an Observant Global account, proceed to the Sign Up portal to create an account.
- If you already have an Observant Global account, you can follow the steps here to add the new equipment to your portfolio.

Prepare for Installation:
- Location: For the solar panel to generate sufficient power (especially during winter), it should face true south when north of the equator or true north when south of the equator and have an unobstructed view of the sun throughout the day. To allow the radio communications to operate effectively, the C3 should also be situated away from large metal structures, like sheds and windmills. If such structures are unavoidable, best results are obtained when the C3 is mounted on the very top of the potential obstruction.
- Pre-cabling: Consider the routing and protection of equipment cables prior to installation. Cable is best protected above the ground by the use of rigid electrical conduit (20 or 25 mm works best). If the rear entry cable options are being used, cabling must be laid prior to the installation of the mounting post, extended up and through holes drilled in the post.
- To effectively prevent the occurence of ant infestation, follow the steps here.

Install the hardware: Select the product type and mounting style from below
- Make sure all devices are online in Observant Global.
